Indie budgets and censorship restrictions honed his film language in unique ways. His films have been described as Social Sci-Fi, with themes and flavors reflecting his atypical past. Fleeing conflict and war in his childhood and youth, he pursued international relations and diplomacy with a passion at the U.N. War Crimes Tribunal and the International Criminal Court, before returning to storytelling.
